We’re Here Because We’re Here, the long awaited new album from Anathema, is now available to pre-order from the Kscope store. A special mini-site is now online which features a free mp3, downloads, info and more.

The album will be released on CD, as a limited 2disc set (CD + DVD-A) and on vinyl. The vinyl edition will be available exclusively from the Kscope store and will ship from May 17th (two weeks before CD release).

Limited to 2,000 numbered units, the vinyl edition of the album comes on double 180gms black vinyl in a heavyweight gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves. The vinyl edition also comes with a special ‘drop card’ with a link to a digital download of the album.

The album is the first collection of new material from the band since the 2003 album, A Natural Disaster. A multi-coloured, multi-layered work of unbridled emotion, passion, and intensity, the new album has been eagerly anticipated by their legions of fans around the globe.

The album has been mixed by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), who has described it as “definitely among the best albums I’ve ever had the pleasure to work on.”

The limited special 2 disc edition of the album comes packaged in a luxurious rigid digibook format and features the album on CD plus a DVD-A with the 5.1 surround sound mix.

Both editions are also available as part of album + t-shirt bundles.
