In addition to the acoustic video, the promo video for the title track ‘All the Wars’, directed by Robert MacFarlane is also online, streaming on the album mini-site, and below:
The album has been hailed by Classic Rock as ‘the sound of a band reaching the height of their powers’ and by Rocksound as ‘an album of Muse-like, slow burning guitar anthems’, while Prog have stated that it’s an ‘elegant, sophisticated work… moody and meaningful, introspective and universal’. Praise has also came from the metal press with Metal Hammer describing it as ‘the album that Soord and compatriots have been working towards for all those years’, Terrorizer stating ‘TPT take the baton of Pink Floyd and run with it, with the same dream-like atmosphere on the cusp of a nightmare’ and Kerrang proclaiming ‘prog stalwarts deliver the goods’(KKKK)
The album mini-site also now features the final shortlist of photos that were entered in the recent Instagram promotion. Fans were asked to take pictures that they felt represented the titles of tracks from the album and post them with the hash tags #thepineapplethief and #allthewars. There were over 200 pictures submitted and the band picked a shot for each track. Click here to see the shortlist or search Instagram using the hash tags to see all the photos.
Congratulations to @geird who was picked at random from the entries to win a set of album art prints, signed by the band and Mark Mawson, the photographer who took the pictures used in the album artwork. To see more of Geird’s work, check out his Instagram profile.
