The 2013 Progressive Music Awards take place on September 3rd and the nominees have been revealed on TeamRock Radio’s new Prog Magazine Show. At the inaugural awards last year, Kscope artists walked away with two of the ten awards with Steven Wilson being named Guiding Light and Anathema winning the award for Best Live Event. This year six different artists are nominated for eight awards.
Anathema are hoping to defend their Live Event title while Steven Wilson, The Pineapple Thief and newest signings Katatonia are all up for the Band of the Year category. Wilson is also nominated for the Album of the Year for The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories) alongside Echo Street by Amplifier.
Amplifier have a second nomination too as ‘Matmos’ has been named on the shortlist for the Anthem award where it is up against ‘Frozen North’ by Bruce Soord with Jonas Renkse.
